We can make all the difference in the lives of others in need, because its the simplest of gestures that makes the most significant of difference. - M. Yamonuchi
Our goal is to help make it a little easier for Vicki and Tom's 3 kids, Bobby, Shannon, and Nolan to finish their post-secondary education. We hope to do this by raising funds to offset their rents by $500 per month each for the next 3 years. The money will be raised through events and donations.
Our plan is to have an Irish-themed fundraiser in the spring at a local pub or venue. Tom and Vicki were renowned for their St. Patrick's Day celebration of all things Irish. Carrying on the tradition and make it a fundraiser for the family only makes sense.
Funds raised by direct donation or through events will be maintained in a BSN24 bank account. $500 per month will be transferred from the BSN24 bank account to Bobby, Shannon, and Nolan's own bank accounts.
Administration of the disbursement of these funds, to ensure they will be allocated when and where needed, will be managed through an advisory committee made up of the following friends and family members: Stacey Cruise, Lana Hockey, Cari MacLean, Darcy Nicksy, Maureen O'Shaughnessy, and Michele Sparling.

We never know where life's road is going to take us. Somedays the road is flat and straight, other days the road is filled with hills and valleys. It is when we are facing those hills that having someone behind us to give a little push, beside us to cheer us on, or ahead of us to show the way, can make all the difference in being able to climb those hills.
These last few years the O'Shaughnessy family has had to face many hills, first with Tom being diagnosed with ALS and then with Vicki being diagnosed with cancer, a disease to which we lost our friend earlier this year.
Wanting to make a difference and show we care, a group of Vicki and Tom's friends decided to get together and make the road a little easier for their three children, Bobby, Shannon, & Nolan by:
raising funds to help out with rents as they complete their studies
creating a community of support around them
providing networking opportunities
having lunch, or
just giving them time to breathe and spend time with their Dad
With all the hills they have had to face and will continue to face, giving a little extra help is the least we could do.
